Aggie & Al
Agnes and her girlfriends were aware of a dashing young musician who was just a few years older than her. His name was Albin Tercek. A prodigy, Al began playing drums professionally for local swing bands and polka kings at the age of 13. One day on a public bus they “accidentally” met and shared a seat, and soon thereafter he began to visit Aggie in Chardon to woo her with his considerable charms. In 1951 they tied the knot at St Jerome’s Church on Lakeshore Boulevard where Aggie was surrounded by her girlfriends and Al was accompanied by his musician pals. Then they took a romantic honeymoon drive through the mountains of West Virginia and all the way to Florida.
